Graduation Day

Tonight I walked across the stage with so much PRIDE. After eight long months, two long semesters, it has finally come to an end. I was the only one from the Esthetics program who chose to attend graduation.

I have participated in four graduations: High school, the Air Force, the Corrections Academy, and now Esthetics. This will definitely be my last. I have come to the realization that I am going to make it in life with the skills that I currently have. I will take classes, however, I am not aiming to obtain any degrees. My certificate and professional license in esthetics will suffice.
I am not knocking school. I just know that this is where I draw the line. Though, in my first semester, I was talking about going on to become a dermatologist, I have since regained my conscious.
To be honest, I have been one to start a lot of stuff and not finish. I was enrolled in college before for nursing but only did one semester and joined the military. Though I graduated basic training and tech school in the Air Force, I did not complete my enlistment term. This is the first time in a long time that I have seen something through its completion [still have to take my state board exams]. There were many days I wanted to call it quits, especially during the second semester when I took on two additional classes on the main campus. But I persevered. I could not be happier.
I want to give a BIG thank you to all of you who have supported me through this journey! Once my spa opens, if you are in my city, I will give you a free service=) And you get an personally autographed copy of my debut novel.
Congratulations to all of the graduates of 2008! We made it!! Now it’s time to take this world by storm…
Blessings & Prosperity!
This is Jewells signing out…
