Packing My Bags

Packing My Bags

Over the past three weeks I have made two trips to Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with my mom.  We had good times, good conversations, and quite a bit of good shopping.  Oh, I can’t forget the good dinner we had at Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood Buffet where I put a hurtin’ on my stomach.  I had to ask God for forgiveness well in advance.  Truth be told, I’d commit that sin all over again.  It was that good.

With all of this traveling I’ve been doing as of late, it was apparent how in need of new luggage I was.  Some trips require more, or less, necessities than others, so I went out to buy a medium-sized suitcase.

I saw it and knew at first sight it was going home with me.

Now it’s time to fill it up.  Heading to Atlanta for the weekend before flying off to the island of St. Thomas for seven days of white sand beaches and everything coconut.

I’m looking forward to this trip something serious.  My mind has been weighing heavily over the last few days.  I seem to get quite a bit of revelations while driving the highways.  Something about being still, even while in motion, allows the mind to hear what you’re not always willing to say.  I’m praying this trip, both on the road and in the air, will give me the clarity I need to make a few decisions.
